Attention to welfare and social cohesion
The project embraces a point of view which is close to the lives of individuals. It is played out and developed within a specific community and particular territorial context.
Indeed NTMY Community intends to contribute specifically through aspects of local welfare, stimulating various public or private actors to reinforce forms of organisation for citizens and social cohesion.
The quality and impact of NTMY initiatives on reference Communities are a direct consequence of results achieved through its "Work" and "Research" schemes, in terms of generated richness and culture spread.
True to its own founding principle of "non-profit", all proceeds of the Foundation's activities are re-invested in territorial welfare projects.
Particular priority is given to projects for vulnerable areas in need, affected by social exclusion, housing problems, failure to achieve self-sufficiency and a lack of spaces and socialisation opportunities for youth.
The initiative is inspired by an increasingly widespread need for an effective response to citizens, in a time of crisis of traditional public social protection systems.
Interesting experiments are being conducted both in Italy and numerous European countries, beyond the public perimeter, involving a wide range of subjects, including foundations and other charitable organisations.
These innovative forms of protection (and investment), can be referred to as a veritable "second welfare", both in "temporal" terms, in the sense that they seamlessly integrate with public welfare, and in virtue of their "functional" connotation, positioning them in addition to and as an integration of schemes of the first type.
